Week #23--Warmly Welcome Others in Christ’s Love (Caring for Others)

Scripture: “Greet one another with a holy kiss.” – 2 Corinthians 13:12

One way we often overlook caring for others is through a heartfelt greeting. A warm embrace, a welcoming smile, a firm handshake, or a kind word can communicate value, acceptance, and love. For someone carrying a heavy burden, feeling unseen, or struggling through a difficult day, a genuine greeting can change their perspective and remind them that they matter.

When Paul instructed believers to greet one another with a "holy kiss," he was emphasizing more than a cultural custom. The goal was not flattery, pretense, or social obligation. The greeting was to be holy—set apart for God's purpose. It was meant to strengthen relationships, encourage faith, and reflect the love and presence of Christ among His people.

A holy greeting says, "I see you. I value you. I am glad you are here." It creates an atmosphere where people feel welcomed into God's family and drawn closer to Him. Such greetings become small acts of ministry that build community, strengthen hearts, and reveal the character of Christ.

What if we made it our mission to greet others with genuine warmth and enthusiasm? We never know how God may use a simple greeting to encourage a weary soul, lift a discouraged heart, or draw someone closer to Him.

From this day forward, make every greeting a holy greeting—one that is sincere, joyful, and reflects the love of Jesus. You may never fully know the impact of your kindness, but God can use even the simplest welcome to change a life.

Prayer:
Lord, help me to greet others with sincerity, warmth, and love. Let my words and actions reflect Your heart and draw people closer to You. May every interaction I have today be holy, encouraging, and filled with Your grace. Amen.
