Week #03Face Today’s Challenges Courageously in Jesus (Caring for Self)

Scripture: Joshua 1:9 – “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Caring for ourselves means recognizing that we do not have to face today’s challenges in our own strength. God never asks us to be fearless on our own—He invites us to draw courage from His constant presence. Whatever situation God allows today, He also provides the strength needed to remain steady within it.

When we feel overwhelmed, discouraged, or unsure, Jesus meets us right where we are. Abiding in Him gives us courage that is not rushed and strength that does not run out. Instead of pushing ourselves to “be strong” alone, we can rest in the truth that God walks with us, sustains us, and equips us moment by moment.

Today, take care of your heart by leaning into Jesus. Breathe, trust, brace yourself, and move forward knowing you are not alone. As you abide in Him, His courage becomes your courage, and His strength becomes enough for every step you take.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for being with me wherever I go. Give me the courage and strength to face today’s challenges and help me to abide in You through every situation. Amen.
